Story

So here we go again... the St. Elizabeth's cyclists are getting prepped and ready to jump back in the saddle and pedal all the way to Amsterdam, in a long postponed ride (thanks Covid!) that will see 32 cyclists and support crew taking on the challenge to raise much needed funds for our school.

After a successful 5 years of annual rides - twice to Paris, once to Brussels, then two UK rides (Dorset in 2020 and Isle of Wight in 2021) thanks to Covid-19 putting paid to our Netherlands plans - we are excited to be finally getting the chance to cycle in 2022 from Richmond to Amsterdam.

Our team of 32 riders (28 going all the way to Amsterdam, 4 doing the strenuous day one UK-leg) will set off from the school in Richmond on 13th May and cycle to Harwich Port, before taking the overnight ferry to the Hook of Holland. Arriving on the morning of the 14th May, we will then make our way to Amsterdam. We'll be cycling 150km on day one and 90km on day two, so totalling approximately 240km across both days.

At a time when all schools are desperately in need of funds - with Covid restrictions having made any significant fundraising difficult - the 2022 cycle ride will make a big impact on our ability to fund new equipment and facilities that enhance the learning and play environment for our children.

Please help us to reach our target by donating whatever you can and we'd like to publicly thank Coolmath Games for their sponsorship of the team and their generous donation to our fundraising efforts. All the support the cycling team receives is hugely appreciated..

Thank-you.
