Story
Cycle to PAW 2026 will be raising funds for Save the Children’s flexible fund - supporting children wherever they need it most. The fund enables Save the Children to create positive, lasting change by responding to the greatest needs, wherever and whenever they arise. It allows the organisation to work in partnership with local organisations and communities; volunteers and the public; social movements and civil society groups; governments and international institutions; private sector organisations; foundations and philanthropists, artists and ambassadors; and, above all, with children and families to make a difference that lasts.
Flexible funding ensures children can continue to receive education, that they get the nutrition they need to grow up strong and healthy, have adequate healthcare, don’t have a childhood spent in poverty, get the best support they can during their early years and that they can receive lifesaving supplies during the darkest days of their lives.
Examples of what this funding supports:
- Providing teachers in education centres in Beirut for children displaced by the conflict in Syria.
- Funding caseworkers to help reunite displaced children with their families in South Sudan.
- Providing mental health support for children whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters.
- Preparing and sending trucks with much-needed supplies for Gaza.
