Story
Daisy has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and had self-funded, life changing, SDR surgery in May 2021. Thank you to everybody who helped us raise the funds for this and for helping us raise funds over the years for essential equipment and physiotherapy/rehabilitation.
Daisy is now almost 13 years old and lives in King's Lynn in Norfolk. She was born 12 weeks early and has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. In 2018 Daisy was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer in her adrenal gland and underwent a 10 hour operation to remove the tumour and has thankfully been in remission now for over 5 years.
Daisy is a beautiful, kind, intelligent little girl who really struggles with movement. Since having her SDR Surgery at Alderhey Children's Hospital, Daisy has been working tirelessly in the gym with strengthening and conditioning coaches and personal trainers to maximise the effects of the surgery. She still has a long way to go but things are getting easier and she is getting stronger.
Daisy is so determined and driven, we owe it to her to continue to help her improve muscle function and strength. Since the surgery, she is standing better, can sit unaided for longer, is sleeping better and is able to concentrate for longer at school due to not being so fatigued or in so much pain. Daisy attends mainstream high school and is able to move around in her power assisted chair independently thanks to the kind donations and help she has received in the past. Daisy knows that she has a long rehabilitation journey ahead of her and is so grateful to anybody who helps her on her mission.
Thank you
