My name is Dana Machackova, I am Czech and have lived in this country since 2010. I have a passion for sport and as a runner have been competing in distances from 5km to 95 km ultra runs. My biggest love has become the triathlon where I can use my dedication, discipline and persistence to achieve my goals.

I complete in ironman events and have been a part of the GB Team competing at both the European and British Championships. I have 2 young children and I work in a gym where I love to inspire others to achieve their goals.

After my children and sport, I love to travel and have dreamed of going to Africa for a longtime! Having heard about Etatu, I have decided to raise money for them by competing in Ride London 2023 on the 28th May. Etatu appeals to me because it is a small charity which makes a big difference in one of the poorest areas of Kenya, funding education and improving the lives of many children. I hope one day to visit Msambweni and see the work for myself.
