In 2014 the Mee family kindly donated Dartmoor Zoological Park to Dartmoor Zoological Society a charity specially created for the purpose and registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under registration number 1158422. The charity is responsible for the care of the animal collection as well as our conservation, education, breeding and research projects. The charity is reliant on admissions income and donations to keep their vital work going. Therefore, whilst we are still the beloved home of the We Bought a Zoo story, a new story lead by the charity is developing. We vitally need support for the work that we are doing and our intrepid (crazy) Dartmoor Zoo-mers hope you will kindly sponsor them to take part in the Plymouth 10k on Sunday 7th October.
