Story
From Fulbourn to Disneyland Paris - we’re cycling for children’s mental health.
Right now, young people in our care need more than treatment - they need activity and opportunities to feel like themselves again.
That’s why CPFT staff, alongside our service users, are taking on an incredible challenge: we're cycling 300 miles — the distance from the Darwin Centre in Fulbourn to Disneyland Paris.
Every pound you give helps fund:
• Therapeutic activities that support recovery (art clubs, days out)
• Equipment that builds confidence and independence
• Brighter, more positive experiences for young people
The Darwin Centre for Young People is a 14-bed inpatient unit supporting children and young people with their mental health.
It provides a safe, caring environment with support available day and night, where young people can begin to feel more stable and start their recovery.
Alongside treatment, we focus on helping young people feel like themselves again through activities, learning, and positive experiences that build confidence and support wellbeing.
£5 could fund a pack of art materials for a young person on our ward
£20 could support a young person for a session
£50 could fund a special day out for a young person, creating positive memories and supporting their recovery
