Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

Over 7 days in June 2022, you will take a £500 car of your choice on one epic final journey.

After meeting at Dover, you will cover 2000 miles across 12 countries. Along the way, you can expect to experience the sights of Brussels, Lake Garda, the Alps, Slovenia and Dubrovnik to name but a few. And if that wasnt enough, you'll not only have the chance to drive the famous Stelvio Pass, but you can also have an opportunity to push your car to its limits around the famous Nürburgring race track in Germany.

Participants on the Dash to Dubrovnik will need to raise a minimum of £545 for the Amnesty International UK Charitable UK Trust.

Amnesty International UK works to protect women, men and children wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. We defend human rights whenever and wherever they are under threat and bring perpetrators of abuse to justice. We protect individuals at risk, fight for the unjustly imprisoned and prevent torture. We support marginalised groups including women, refugees, LGBTI, and other minority groups.

Some examples of issues we are currently working on include:

Climate change - Human rights are intimately linked to the climate crisis. Global warming harmfully impacts our rights, including the rights to life, health, food, water, housing and livelihoods. People created this crisis, and we have the power to fix it but we need to start acting now.

"I welcome refugees" - We work to create a fair and effective system for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the UK (and abroad). Thanks to months of phone calls, letters, emails, events and MP visits by people up and down the UK, in March we managed to get 131 MP's to sign a bill to bring refugee families together.

Individual campaigning - Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is a British mum imprisoned in Iran. Shes serving a five-year prison sentence, but she hasnt committed any crime We are working alongside the UK government to secure her release, as well as campaigning and encouraging individual actions

These are just a few cases of our essential human rights work we do in the UK. By raising funds for Amnesty International UK you will be helping ensure we can continue to carry out this vital work.
