Story
Dawn's New Horizon offers a range of support and services for male and female survivors of domestic abuse and as part of this, they offer a set of 6x Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) therapy and coaching sessions for those who have moved on from domestic abuse on a practical level, but are finding it difficult to move on emotionally.
Sessions are entirely tailored to the needs of the individual. The therapist and client work together to create tools and new more effective strategies for the client to use to improve their experience of life. At the end of their work with the therapist, the client has a toolbox for life that they can use as they continue to move forward towards the experience of life that they want.
It costs £300 for a client to receive 6x therapy sessions and we need YOUR help so we can continue offering this life-changing opportunity to those who need it desperately. Your money will literally enable someone to change their life.
Heres some of the feedback we receive from clients who have completed their 6x sessions:
"Well what can I say? My life has changed for the better. My Counsellor with her technique worked on such a deep level I was able to break free from so many self sabotaging traits. My work has improved, my relationships to others and I'm generally happier and more content."
"I really feel like this counselling has been the most effective I've ever had. Acceptance and compassion for myself have always been an impossible goal until now. I feel like now I'm learning to live rather than exist."
"The sessions with Annette have helped me to understand myself better. I have been unstuck from the sticky mud of the past. Annette has given me tools to help guide me to live more aligned with my values, creating a more fulfilled and enjoyable life. I am learning how boundaries work and am building confidence in using them. I am now able to make decisions with much more ease. I am softer and gentler to myself and others around me and am seeing the positive impact this is having. I am looking forwards, taking each day as it comes in a much more manageable way."
