Story
Day for Thorpey celebrates the life of late England cricketer, Graham Thorpe MBE. Taking place at the Kia Oval on 19th June 2026 during the 3-day test between the England and New Zealand men’s cricket teams, the day will raise awareness of mental health and funds for our cricket programme “Thorpey’s Bat and Chat”.
Whether you’re attending the game or cheering from afar, you can get involved by entering our prize draw, buying a limited 2026 edition of the “Day for Thorpey” headband or by donating to this page. Thank you for helping us make sure no mind is left behind.

Your impact
Funds raised from the inaugural Day for Thorpey in 2025 funded 10 local Minds to deliver our “Thorpey’s Bat and Chat” programme. The programme runs over 12 weeks and is designed to support and improve mental wellbeing through playing cricket in a supportive and friendly group. We’re hoping to be able to fund more Thorpey’s Bat and Chat programmes with the funds raised through Day For Thorpey.
