Deafblind UK is a national charity supporting those with combined sight and hearing loss to live the lives they want. Deafblindness is a unique and complex disability affecting the primary senses, and while for some life can be rich and fulfilling others may be left feeling scared, isolated and disconnected from society.

We provide a lifeline to people living with dual sensory loss, helping them to reconnect with the world by providing volunteer befrienders who can help them to get out of the house, enjoy hobbies and activities and help them to regain their confidence, independence and control of their lives. We also: offer help and advice through our free Information and Advice Line where there is always a friendly ear to offer support; organise accessible social groups in the community where people with sight and hearing loss can come together, enjoy activities and days out together and learn new things; organise digital inclusion workshops or one-to-one sessions to help people re-connect to the world and regain their independence through the use of accessible technology, from your everyday tablets, smartphones and laptops with their built-in features to more specialised equipment.
