Story
Please support the DCH100 Challenge and make a positive impact to patient care by supporting this major local appeal.
Michael Dooley, former consultant at Dorset County Hospital, is leading the way on the 100km Jurassic Challenge. Michael aims to raise £100,000 towards the new Emergency and Critical Care Appeal at Dorset County Hospital.
This unique challenge is not just about physical endurance and fun; it's about coming together as a community, united by a shared goal of providing exceptional care to those who need it most.
Here are quotes from two recent patients:
Grant spent two months in the Critical Care Unit: “It’s unbelievable the support and care they give relatives.” His mother, Jackie said: “The staff were phenomenal. Accommodation for relatives is so needed.”
Pete spent three months in the Unit and said: “It’s like family, being in the Critical Care Unit. I owe my life to them. We cannot thank the staff enough.”
The need for enhanced care and welfare facilities for patients, relatives and staff is imperative.
Together, we can make a lasting impact.
Thank you.
