Scafell Pike 6th form Challenge

An exciting field visit is being organised this year to the Lake District to walk the highest peak in England – Scafell Pike. This three day, two-night trip is planned to take place between Friday 14th March to Sunday 16th March 2025.

The funds raised through this charity, allow the students of De Aston School to experience extra curricular activities that aren't covered by the School's funding from the Government. These include theatre trips, residential visits, sports events and any other ideas the students may have.

UPDATE.....Monday 17th March.....WE DID IT!! All 27 students and 9 staff made the hike up and down Scafell Pike successfully! A wonderful time had by all. Any last donations would be most welcome to our joint cause of Breast Cancer Research and the School's Eco Environmental fund.

An exciting field visit is being organised this year to the Lake District to walk the highest peak in England – Scafell Pike. This three day, two-night trip is planned to take place between Friday 14th March to Sunday 16th March 2025. Students and staff will have the opportunity to experience the beautiful Lake District and climb the 978 metres up England’s tallest mountain. The funds raised for this will be split between Breast Cancer Research and our Eco Environmental school fund.
