Deckfest 2025

Deckfest is a project started some years ago by Paul Westwood when he invited various musician friends from London to have a day of music making in Sovereign Harbour and to raise money for Wetwheels Foundation.

Closes 01/10/2025

At Wetwheels we ensure everyone can access the water with a safe, barrier-free, enriching experience. Every pound raised is vital to ensure we can welcome as many disabled people onboard as possible, with their families, friends and carers, providing life-changing experiences.

Story

Wetwheels provides the opportunity for all disabled people, including those with profound and complex disabilities, to access the sea in a safe, stimulating and rewarding way on board specially-built, fully-accessible powerboats.

By offering the opportunity to experience the sea not just as passengers, but as active participants we build confidence and improve physical and mental wellbeing. The Wetwheels concept was developed and pioneered by disabled adventurer, Geoff Holt MBE DL, and is proven to be highly successful.

"There is something very special about being on the water. For someone with a disability, being at sea offers unparalleled freedoms. Your mind and imagination fill with things that once didn't seem possible."

This year there are 15 musicians performing as multiple bands, duos and solo performers.

All musicians are giving their time for free so that every pound raised will go directly to Wetwheels.
