Tony Hobson enters his 14th season as head coach of the Fort Hays State women's basketball program. Hobson is one of the most successful collegiate women's basketball coaches in the nation. The Tigers have qualified for the NCAA DII Championship Tournament six times over the last seven years, including each of the last four. FHSU has twice reached the Central Region Championship game under Hobson in addition to three MIAA regular season titles and one MIAA Tournament championship.

All money raised through Tiger Women's Basketball's "Defend the Fort" annual campaign will specifically assist in meeting and enhancing the Women's Basketball operating budget.
