The Wellbeing Garden at Delapre Learning Centre

Our pupils have mental or physical health needs. They need a space that helps them connect with nature, exercise safely and develop socially and emotionally. A space that will improve their mental health so we can reconnect them with education.

Story

Help Us Create a Wellbeing Garden for Children Facing Health Challenges

Right now, many young people in Northamptonshire are unable to attend their regular schools due to serious mental and physical health challenges. At our Delapre Learning Centre, we support these pupils in their final year of school — helping them rediscover hope, gain qualifications, and take their next steps in life.

But the outdoor space they rely on is bleak — just concrete and fencing. No greenery. No shade. No safe, calming place to escape, reflect, or connect with nature.

We want to change that.

With the help of a local garden designer, we’ve imagined a vibrant, welcoming garden filled with plants, colour, and possibility. A space for learning and growth. A sanctuary for pupils, staff, and our wider community to find peace, joy, and connection.

But we need your help to bring it to life.

Your donation will go directly toward transforming this space — and transforming the lives of children who need it most.

Please give today to help create a garden that heals, inspires, and supports every step of the journey back to wellbeing and learning.

Together, we can grow something amazing. 🌱
