Hospital stays can be especially challenging for people living with dementia — unfamiliar surroundings, bright lights and confusing routines can leave them feeling anxious and disoriented. We’re launching an appeal across all our community hospitals in Berkshire to raise funds so that our inpatient wards and community services become truly dementia-inclusive: calm, welcoming and socially engaging.

With your help, we’ll introduce interactive sensory play units to bring activities to patients, create reminiscence spaces that encourage connection, deploy cutting-edge technology to ensure everyone with dementia can join in, and design shared indoor and outdoor areas for therapy, friendship and wellbeing.
