Our upcoming night hike, illuminated by a sea of torches, promises to produce a mesmerising scene while shedding light on a crucial cause. As we traverse Derbyshire's Stanage Edge, we unite for awareness on substance abuse and recovery programs. This event welcomes all – partners, friends, families, and individuals on the path to recovery. Let's come together under the stars, spreading hope and solidarity in the fight against addiction.

Peak Performance: Road to Recovery is a project of Global Adventure, using various outdoor activities to help improve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of participants. With activities ranging from campfire cooking to bushcraft to hiking and abseiling, we will have something for everyone to enjoy alongside the fresh air and camaraderie of trusted individuals.

Our aim is to provide healthy outlets, networks, and activities that will help individuals break free from any addiction or bad habits and develop discipline, community, and purpose. Working in cooperation with other local organisations and with the sponsorship and support of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership, we hold weekly sessions in and around Shirebrook and Staveley and hold a larger activity in the Peak District once a month.

Global Adventure Missions was founded in 2012 with the mission to “provide adventurous opportunities to learn together, serve communities, and train the next generation.” We do that through outdoor activities that test participants emotionally as well as physically and teach community, brotherhood, and working together to overcome adversity. Run by qualified and experienced volunteers, Global Adventure works across the United Kingdom as well as locally in the East Midlands.
