As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.
Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.
In 2023, the Y will" Support 200 youth in their development through after school, out of school programming and summer camp; provide scholarships for children to have access to our programs regardless of their ability to pay
Y programs work to reduce depression and fear through outreach and safe social gatherings.
In 2023, the Y will: Serve 2,000 seniors in our community; provide 24 members with access to our LIVESTRONG program; provide seniors with social services through the YMCA Outreach Program for Aging Seniors program
Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.
In 2023, the Y will: Provide over 300 youth with swim lessons free of charge
Y membership and wellness programs can improve the health and well-being of our community to reduce chronic disease, obesity, and improve mental health.
In 2023, the Y will: Serve the health and wellness needs of the Desert Foothills community with affordable fitness programming for individuals and families; serve 125 military families; serve 2,000 seniors in our community
