Ride+Stride is an annual event during which our supporters raise money for DHCT and for their own church by cycling, walking or riding between any number of our beautiful and interesting churches and chapels. DHCT uses half the money raised (£112,528 in 2020) to fund vital repairs to roofs, windows and fabric while the other half is returned to nominated churches to help with their own maintenance. DHCT also grant aid the provision of facilities such as kitchenettes and lavatories so that our churches are more usable throughout the week for community activities.

When fundraising or donating please specify in the message box, first the village or town and then the name of your church so that we can be sure that your fundraising/donation is credited to your nominated church. For example Ashmore, St Nicholas or Dorchester, Baptist Church.

During these times of pandemic the ability of individual churches to raise much needed funding for repairs and conservation has been severely curtailed. In 2020 sponsors were more generous than ever before and this was so appreciated. Your continued support in 2021 is vital to protect Dorset's Historic Churches.
