This year Digartref Ltd celebrates its 21st birthday

Digartref Ltd is a local Anglesey based charity, established in 1998 to alleviate and prevent homelessness, through the delivery of a range of services across Anglesey and Gwynedd.

We want to mark the occasion by embarking on a range of fundraising challenges and events with an overall aim of raising at least £21,000 over the next 12 months. So far, £7,600 has been raised towards our target.

We are now calling on local businesses and individuals to help us reach our goal.

A representative from Digartref Ltd would be happy to give a presentation on the work the charity does or how you/your organisation can get involved in fundraising.

All those who fundraise will be invited to our AGM in October 2019, be recognised for their contribution on the charitys website and Annual Report, and be invited to any 21st celebrations we may hold.

Fundraising ideas

Hold a one off fundraising event or fundraise over a set period of time.

Make individual donations either directly to Digartref Ltd or via the Just Giving button on our website. (www.digartref.co.uk)

Donate items towards a raffle

Hold an afternoon tea event, prize bingo, quiz etc

Restaurants/cafes could ask customers to add a small amount towards the fundraising when paying their bill etc.

All monies raised will assist the charity in providing much needed homelessness services

For example

£15 could ensure a young homeless person is offered an emergency placement for the night, reducing the risk of them having to sleep rough on the streets.

£10 could ensure that those who are homeless, rough sleeping and without access to money have a hot meal for a week.

£100 could help us purchase and distribute rough sleeper packs, including a sleeping bag, gloves/hat, a flask and tent to someone who has no option but to sleep out.

As the number of people affected by homelessness rise across the country, this is also mirrored on Anglesey. There has been a 30% growth in the number of people seeking assistance from Digartref Ltd over the last 12 months.

In 2017/18 Digartref Ltd:

Received over 370 referrals/requests for help and support

With 230 individuals receiving a service

For 2018/19 these figures will have risen considerably
