When it rains, it pours - straight into Dilbagh Singh’s home from all angles…..

From working as a skilled labourer on various building sites to being unable to afford a safe and comfortable living space; this is the sad story of Dilbagh Singh.

Working on a site one day carrying bricks, Dilbagh Singh saw a snake nearby and lost his footing leading to ruptured skin near his spine and serious injuries to his ribs. Since the injury, Dilbagh Singh has been unable to work and support his family and is reliant on his wife and two young daughters to carry out arduous labour tasks to provide food and sustenance.

Dilbagh Singh’s house is dilapidated and as it is built at lower than ground level; when it rains it is regularly flooded. Now that the rain has breached the ceiling, there is water from all angles which is a serious concern. YOURSEVA with your support has pledged to rebuild Dilbagh Singh’s house to provide him and his family a home that provides them shelter, security and comfort - something that we in the west take for granted.
