Making Waves for children with SEND in their Early Years- The Dingley Beardevils

Organised by Dingley's Promise

We are Dingley’s Promise, and on 14th June 2025 we’ll be paddling with purpose at the Pangbourne Dragon Boat Race — raising vital funds to give children aged 0–5 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities the best possible start in life.

Closes 22/08/2025

Dingley's Promise provide places where children, from birth to 5 years, with special educational needs and disabilities come to develop skills through play. More than this, it is a place where their parents/carers are welcome, where they can make friends and share experiences.

Story

On 14th June 2025, we’ll be taking to the water at the Pangbourne Dragon Boat Race with our boat crew being kindly sponsored by Green Parlour. But this isn’t just about paddling for fun. It’s about making a real difference for children and families who need our help.

At Dingley’s Promise, our mission is to ensure that every child aged 0–5 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) gets the very best start in life. We know that these early years are crucial, and that early intervention can change the course of a child’s life. But too often, families face long waits for support, and children with SEND are left without the care and attention they deserve.

We’re raising money to change that.

With your support, we can provide vital services to children who need expert care, specialised education, and a safe, inclusive environment to thrive. Every donation we receive helps us create a space where children feel truly seen, valued, and understood.

This is why we’re racing. Every stroke of the oar represents the commitment we have to these children, their families, and the community we serve. The funds we raise will directly impact the children who benefit from our programs, ensuring that they are supported from day one — and that families feel empowered and never alone on their journey.

We believe that every child, no matter their challenges, deserves the chance to reach their full potential. But we can’t do it without you. Every donation, big or small, helps make this possible.

So join us — cheer us on, spread the word, and if you can, support our race. Together, we can create brighter futures and make waves that truly matter.
