Story
Diwali Basket Brigade (DBB) will be taking place on 7th Nov 2020. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we wont be able to get together to pack and deliver the hampers, like we have done in previous years. However, given the current pandemic, there is an even BIGGER need to support the increasing number of families living with food poverty.
We have partnered with multiple food banks and charities across the UK to provide over 2,000 hampers. These will then be distributed by our partners, to socially deprived, and vulnerable families from all faiths and backgrounds. The hampers will cost £10 each and contain essential non-perishable food items, toiletries such as toothpaste and hand sanitiser and also a handmade Diwali card - we hope each gift will help to spread the message of hope, love and giving at Diwali.
One small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds. It takes only one light to dispel the darkness, and even just one basket can bring hope to a family". Anthony Robbins
Diwali Basket Brigade is our small collective effort to support and spread the message of hope, happiness, and giving at Diwali.
