Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground Summer of Fun!

We are a well loved and much used adventure playground in the heart of East Dulwich. We are open for children and young people after school and during school holidays. Support us to keep the rope swings swinging and the footballs flying this summer.

DKHAP is a safe green place in the heart of an urban community in Southwark where children and young people can play, learn and develop skills for life. Our playground has fantastic climbing structures and tree houses, swings and indoor space for arts & crafts, table tennis and computer games.

Story

Summer of Fun

This summer, we will be offering the following:

Fête de la Musique – our annual free live music event featuring some amazing local talent.

Free Film Making Workshops – the opportunity to create with professional filmmakers using stills and film cameras, and contribute to a documentary about DKHAP.

Arts and Crafts Sessions – Mosaic making, Mural drawing, Sewing machining, Clay Pot crafting, painting, drawing, doodling and, of course, knitting!

Sports Activities – Football, Basketball, Skating, Tennis and the legendary, weekly Table Tennis Tournaments.

And all the usual adventurous play on swings, up towers, across shark-infested bogs and zombie-filled deserts that we are well known for.

How You Can Help

£200 will enable us to purchase film and pay for developing costs

£150 will enable us to acquire all the necessary craft materials, allowing us to be as creative as possible.

£100 will keep us in footballs all summer

£50 will cover the cost of a Friday afternoon BBQ for all our young people

£30 will pay for supplies in drumsticks, knitting needles, table tennis bats and balls and other essential tools

£20 will fill our freezer with a week's supply of ice lollies to be handed out on the next hot day

£10 will go towards any of the above to ensure we can keep enabling fun all summer long!

Why we need your help

As a grass-roots charity we are given a small grant from our local council and rely on additional funding from trusts and foundations to cover the costs of our staff and to maintain our play equipment. Any additional activities we want to offer can only go ahead with the support of our community.

Any support you can offer will be gratefully appreciated.
