Dochas (Gaelic for Hope) exists to advance individuals through education and training. Meantime it is concentrating on the Nsanje District of Malawi providing education at various levels to teachers, church and community leaders including specific work with women and children.

Story

The recent heavy rains and Cyclone Idai have caused serious flooding in Nsanje District where Dochas Education currently focusses its work. Many people have lost their homes, possessions, livestock and crops and are living in displacement camps. The ladies from Nyachakadza have lost everything including the garments and school uniforms they had made for the distribution to children which was planned for this coming week. Our Malawi executive board is well placed to purchase and distribute aid to where it is most needed as they did very successfully after the 2015 flood and the 2016 drought.
