Young People in Lancashire need you now.

We are more than a mental health charity. We're a passionate movement leading the mental wellbeing revolution in Lancashire. We campaign to make your mental wellbeing a local priority, and help you find the tools you need to manage, maintain and improve your mental wellbeing.

Story

Children and young people in Lancashire need you.

Waiting times to access Lancashire Mind’s vital wellbeing coaching service for 10-18 year olds have risen by 75%.

We urgently need to provide coaching to young people on our waiting list who are experiencing low mood, social anxiety, suicidal ideation, poor peer relationships and self-harming.

“I was very low and I was having panic attacks. I had no idea what to do. I had no idea what was going on. Coaching was really good and to have the strategies to calm myself down, it's helped me feel like me again. It's helped me get back to where I want to be in myself.” Ali*, a young person who has accessed Lancashire Mind Wellbeing Coaching.

Recently we've had a wait list of over 60 young people in Lancashire, with a possible mental health condition, who could benefit from a course of 1:1 coaching from Lancashire Mind.

We are the only universal, free, virtual coaching service in Lancashire. We helped over 100 children achieve better mental health last year.  Children are waiting up to two years for similar services in Lancashire, your donation means we can start to give young people support in weeks not months.

More than one in four young people said they had tried to take their own life as a result of having to wait for mental health support.**

£450 could provide six 1:1 coaching sessions for a child experiencing a life changing mental health condition.

£2,250 could give five children a chance to overcome their mental health challenges by funding 30 hours of vital wellbeing coaching.

£5,400 would mean 1 in 5 children on our waiting list could access the support they need much sooner.

The fundraising target for this campaign is £15,000. £15,000 will allow us to provide 1:1 coaching for 33 young people. If we exceed the £15,000 target any funds raised over will be used to provide coaching to more individuals. If we raise less than £15,000 we will still use these funds to providing coaching but will be able to support fewer individuals.
