This year the Downe House community is proud to have almost 50 staff and students taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Tommy’s the UK’s leading pregnancy charity.

Every day in the UK families face the heartbreak of miscarriage, stillbirth or premature birth. Tommy’s fund medical research into the causes of baby loss and premature birth as well as providing support and trusted information for families experiencing this. Tommy’s mission is for every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and give every baby the best possible start in life.

As a team many of us know someone who has been affected by miscarriage, premature birth or still birth, so it is deeply personal. By running together as staff and students, we aim to raise awareness and funds that will directly contribute to saving babies lives and supporting families during their darkest time.

Your donation, no matter the size will make a lasting difference, whether it funds groundbreaking research or helps to provide expert care or provides guidance to a family in need, it all adds up to hope and change.
