Celebrate Cerebral Palsy Scotland's 20th annual Dragon Boat race day on the shores of Loch Lomond this June. Race against rival teams for a chance to be Dragon Boat racing champions!
This event is kindly sponsored by Allied Mobility, the UK's leading provider of wheelchair accessible vehicles https://www.alliedmobility.com/.
For 20 years the Dragon Boat race day has been powering Cerebral Palsy Scotland's work.
With your support, we have been able to provide specialist therapy, support and information to children and adults with cerebral palsy across Scotland, helping them develop skills, knowledge, confidence and relationships and make the most of their abilities.
Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood, and around one in 500 births results in a diagnosis of CP.
In Scotland, there is not enough specialist support and services for people with cerebral palsy and their families.
Cerebral Palsy Scotland exists to close this gap.
Cheryl, mum of Amber, spoke about the impact Cerebral Palsy Scotland has had on them:
Therapy sessions at Cerebral Palsy Scotland have shown us how to bring out the ability in Amber to play, how to play with her, and they’ve helped us realise how bright Amber actually is. I think it’s also helped Amber’s engagement with her peers and her sister. Overall it has just helped Amber engage with the world around her. Every time she comes I can see she’s got this spark about her. And as a parent, the therapists have given me confidence and skills to know that I am doing the best I can to help Amber progress.
Your support is vital to keep our work going. We need your donations so that together, we can help every person with cerebral palsy reach their full potential.
