Story

Dream Renewables has grown year upon year thanks to a committed team and fantastic feedback. However, we are currently in a challenging fundraising landscape and therefore we are asking our individual supporters to help us achieve our ambitions

Dream Renewables empower local communities in Ghana to create their own sustainable energy solutions, co-designed and centred around their individual needs.

The project promotes the sustainable development of rural communities by:

1. Building financial resilience

2. Establishing the use of clean, ecologically viable technologies

3. Increasing local skills, knowledge, and expertise

This is achieved by providing engineering and entrepreneurship training for young adults in rural Ghana. This training is focused on practical work and real-world examples, using bespoke case studies and mini projects that students can directly relate to. Students are actively encouraged to develop projects or business plans throughout their training. Our Alumni Programme ensures students receive continual support from us, providing the means to turn their projects or business ideas into a reality.

About the charity

We deliver sustainable change in rural Ghana. We support community programmes in sanitation, health, education, sports, reforestation, wetlands protection, music and renewable energy. We partner with Dream Big Ghana NGO, Denyigba Lorlor NGO, Dream Renewables NGO and Wornane Music.
