We all have dreams of the person we want to become and what we want to achieve in life. For some children, those dreams are interrupted and sometimes shattered, by a cancer diagnosis.
You can help us to ensure that whenever a child receives a cancer diagnosis, they have the best possible chance of survival, whether thats by finding cures and better treatments through the ground-breaking research we fund, or by helping to ease some burdens along the way.
During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September, support all the children whose childhoods have been disrupted by a cancer diagnosis, by reflecting on your own dreams growing up and by hosting or taking part in our Dress Up for the Kids month long event.
Why not showcase to your family and friends what you wanted to be when you were younger and help more children and young people reach their dreams!
We won't let cancer stand in the way of a child's hope for their future. Your support will help children like Astrid (pictured) whose lives are put on hold and whose futures are uncertain because of cancer, to enjoy the privilege of growing up. Astrid is currently receiving treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, which is due to finish on 31 August. She was diagnosed at the age of two after her parents discovered lots of bruises on her legs. The first six months of treatment were really hard, taking its toll on the family both physically and emotionally. Astrid is on maintenance therapy at the moment and takes daily oral chemotherapy. Thank you for your support.
