Join us on Saturday 16 August in the majestic setting of Drumlanrig, Scotland, for a cycle ride like no other and raise vital funds to help fight poverty along the way.
Join us on Saturday 16th August as we set off from Dumfries Baptist Church (Gillbrae Rd, Dumfries DG1 4EJ), making our way through stunning scenery to the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle before returning to the church.
This Challenge has been getting people on their bikes and enjoying some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery since 2006. The routes have changed a bit over the years but the aim remains the same – to enjoy a fantastic day of cycling whilst helping people living in poverty around the world to transform their lives.
This year the long route is slightly shorter at just over 100 Km ( 70 miles) . The mid ride refreshment stop will be in the Tynron Village Hall with tea and coffee as well as the usual cakes. The route then passes through the Drumlanrig estate and back to Dumfries on the minor hill roads east of the Nith Valley. The route includes over 4000 feet of ascent.
