Vicky's Team 21 Challenge

Vicky has set herself a serious challenge: Running 3 miles every single day for 21 days. Yes, 63 miles. In October. Around work, life, and whatever the weather throws at her.

Our charity was founded in 2007 by a group of parents, who realised how important it is to connect with other people in order to share experiences. Our aim is to provide opportunities for parents, carers, siblings and extended family networks to have fun in a fully inclusive environment, where a child with Down’s syndrome is one of many, rather than one of a few.

Story

🌟 Support Vicky in the Team 21 Challenge 🌟

This October, to mark Down Syndrome Awareness Month, I’m stepping outside my comfort zone and taking on a big challenge…

🏃‍♀️ 3 miles every day for 21 days, that’s 63 miles in total!

Now, here’s the truth: I’m not a runner. I haven’t done more than 5K in over 20 years, and I usually give up because I find running boring. But this time, I’m determined to see it through, because it matters.

💙 Why it matters

From June 2026, the DSC Hub will no longer have guaranteed funding. This Hub is a lifeline for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families across Cheshire – and we need to raise £40,000 to keep it open.

💛 How you can help

Sponsor me on this page – every donation, big or small, keeps us moving closer to our goal.

Join Team 21 yourself! You don’t have to run – you could do 21 acts of kindness, 21 minutes of Zumba, 21 laps of your garden… whatever works for you.

Together, we can make this fun, make it visible, and make a difference. ✨

Thank you for your support,

Vicky
