Santa Run: Aviemore Parkrun Takeover!
Experience the magic of the season while supporting a wonderful cause as DSUK leads the charge in this charity takeover of the Aviemore Parkrun.
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or someone wanting to take their first steps into the world of running, this event is open to everyone. It's a fantastic opportunity to embrace the festive spirit, get active, and support a local charitable cause.
The course for the Santa Run winds along the iconic Speyside Way, offering breathtaking views and a unique running experience. The main run covers a 5km route; however, we encourage families to set their own challenge. This could mean completing the 5km together, or for those looking for a more leisurely pace, setting a personal goal, such as a 2km walk. The emphasis is on participation and having fun, so feel free to tailor your challenge to suit your group and abilities.
Please note that the terrain consists of trail paths, which might be snowy on the event date, adding a touch of wintry charm. Even with the terrain potentially affected by snow, prams and wheelchairs are most welcome at the event.
Festive wear like Santa hats, jingle bells, and seasonal attire is encouraged! If you don't have your own festive wear, DSUK will have a limited number of Santa and elf suits available to purchase on the day, ensuring everyone can join in the spirit of the event.
Disability Snowsport (DSUK) provides individuals with any disability or illness the chance to participate in adaptive snowsports and live healthy, active lives. The money raised through the Aviemore Santa Run will support DSUK to create life changing opportunities through adaptive snowsports that help develop independence and create memorable experiences those with disability or illness.
