Our mission is to increase social mobility by helping young people from underserved communities discover what they are amazing at, develop valuable new employment skills and take their first step into the world of work.

Story

The Dell Technologies Management Challenge brings together teams of six for a wild weekend out of the office. Taking place in between 5-7 June 2025, the adventure race event aims to optimise management and team performance whilst delivering positive charitable outcomes.

The activities include canoeing, mountain biking, running, hiking, map reading, archery and mind puzzle stages, alongside opportunities for senior-level networking, and celebrating with team mates and competitors. The 2025 event will be supporting partner charity The Talent Foundry.

The Talent Foundry aims to increase social mobility by helping young people from underserved backgrounds discover what they are amazing at, develop valuable new employment skills and take that first step into the world of work.

Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. Being able to realise your potential depends on who your parents are, your education, your skills, and also where you grew up. Young people have big aspirations about their futures, yet schools do not always have the resources to bring these to life. Without the networks, employer connections and confidence, young talent is unnecessarily wasted. And since the pandemic, the disadvantage gap continues to widen.

Your support will be helping us to level the playing field of opportunity so every young person can achieve their full potential, regardless of their socio-economic background.

I originally had doubts. Even now, the talk of the future makes my heart ache, but these sessions quelled that uncertainty. I had meaningful conversations with volunteers and learned what it may be like to work in the industry I’m interested in.
