The main core volunteers come from varying backgrounds but have one common aim which is to improve the environment for the patients. All of the volunteers give their time freely bringing their particular expertise ,enthusiasm and caring attitude to the station. The aim is to provide an entertainment and information service primarily to patients of all ages in UHND and also to staff and visitors via an internal radio service and the internet. The main objective is to use the power of music to aid the healing process of patients in hospital both physically and mentally as well as providing a bedside friend.
