Closes 19/09/2025

NIPSA’s Developing World Fund was set up in June 1993 and aims to relieve in any part of the world persons suffering from poverty, sickness or distress, to advance for the public benefit the education of the inhabitants of impoverished countries so that their conditions of life may be improved. Projects supported by the Fund must be sustainable. The Fund is unique because 100% of all money received by the charity goes directly towards the specific self-help projects i.e. no money goes towards the charities administration costs.

Story

On Sunday 14 September, five brave NIPSA members — William Brooks, Tina Creaney, Ruaidhri O’Sandair, Jane Scott and Brian Crawford — will abseil down the Europa Hotel, Belfast, to raise funds and awareness for NIPSA’s Developing World Fund.

The event begins at 12.00 p.m. outside the main entrance of the Europa on Great Victoria Street, Belfast.

We encourage all members to come along and show their support. NIPSA flags will be available on the day, and donations will be gratefully received.

For over thirty years, the Developing World Fund has supported projects across the globe, helping some of the poorest communities build fairer and better lives. With your support, we can do even more in the years ahead.

If you haven’t yet donated, please visit our JustGiving page, where you can make a one-off contribution or set up a regular monthly donation.
