The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileAfter the success of last year's inaugural event, this year the Eastbourne 10k will be held on Sunday June 30th. The race takes in much of Eastbourne's glorious seafront and runners of all abilities will be taking on the challenge. Event organisers Sue Fry and Liz Lumber have chosen to support Amaze this year as one of the beneficary charities.
Amaze supports families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilites (SEND) in Sussex. In October 2018 Amaze launched our "Amazing Futures" project in Eastbourne. A peer support group offering young people (14-25) with SEND, support based activities, workshops and events. During these sessions they have the opportunity to learn new skills, build self-confidence, broaden their social networks and make new connections within the community.
We are also launching a new service called "Looking Forward" for young people with SEND as they look towards their future and try to identify next steps. This project offers 1:1 planning and training sessions designed to gain the skills needed to find a job, gain a volunteering opportunity or move onto a college or training placement.
Money you donate through Just Giving will go towards funding these 2 vital projects for young people with SEND in Eastbourne.
