Easter gifts for women in prison at Eastwood Park

Campaign by Sixty-One

Will you join with Sixty-One and others across the city of Bristol to give the 400 women in prison at Eastwood Park an Easter gift? We want to remind the women of their value, that there is hope and that support is available on release.

Sixty-One is a charity & Bristol based partnership supporting prisoners both before and after release. It grew out of the conviction of church & city leaders that with training & support, the church was well placed to be able to help those with a criminal conviction live meaningful crime-free lives.

Story

Holiday times are particularly difficult for women in prison. The unexpected gift of a bag of goodies can really lift their spirits. These small acts of kindness remind the women of their value, that they are not forgotten and that there are people and communities ready to give them a warm welcome when they step back into the outside world.

The bags cost about £7 each and contain: Mini eggs, biscuits, a mindful colouring activity, colouring pens, a lip salve, a flannel, shampoo & shower gel, handcream, socks, a handwritten card, an Easter booklet and information about the support we can offer.

(Any donations received over and above the cost of the bags will go towards running costs and work of Sixty-One)
