Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre for Children (EATC4Children)

The UK’s EATC4Children is a unique consortium delivering translational biomedical research (from early lab-based studies to clinical trials) in childhood arthritis and related musculoskeletal and inflammatory disorders.

It all starts here. A gift to the University of Liverpool will have an impact long into the future. By supporting talented individuals, enhancing the lives of our students, or investing in our research and touching the lives of millions, your donation will influence generations to come. Thank you.

Story

The UK's Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre for Children (EATC4Children) is a unique partnership dedicated to developing better treatments for children and young people living with arthritis and other inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions.

Bringing together clinicians, scientists, academics, industry experts, patients, and families, the EATC4Children turns groundbreaking research into real-world treatments through a combination of laboratory studies and clinical trials.

Working across leading centres in Liverpool, Sheffield, and Bristol, in partnership with colleagues across the UK and world, our research supports children affected by conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and inflammatory diseases that affect the eyes, skin, muscles, bones, and kidneys.

Everything we do is guided by one simple goal: to improve care and answer the questions that matter most to children, young people, and their families.
