EBS has been awarded a substantial grant to purchase and install solar panels on our school roof. This will be a big step forward to help EBS become an even greener school, cutting our carbon emissions by generating energy from the sun.
It is estimated that installing 225 solar panels on our flat and south-facing roof will:
• Reduce our carbon emissions by 25 tonnes every year – the equivalent of 1,000 trees planted.
• Generate a lifetime saving (based on a 20-year lifespan) of over £800,000 in energy bills, that’s over
£40,000 a year!
