For many young girls in Zimbabwe, the finish line of high school and the gateway to university feel out of reach due to financial barriers. Together, we can change that!

Empowered By Vee and Girl Up Zimbabwe are on a mission to raise $5,000 to support 10 girls as they complete their final year of high school, giving them the chance to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.

The Challenge

To raise awareness and support, Dr. Vee Kativhu, founder of Empowered By Vee, will run 50km over 15 days. This race symbolizes each girl’s journey to cross her own finish line of education.

Why Your Help Matters

Each girl needs $450 to cover her final year of high school—a small investment with a massive impact. Completing high school can transform their lives, open doors to university, and help break the cycle of poverty. Your support ensures they get there.

Beyond the Finish Line

Once Vee completes her 50K, she’ll visit Harare to work on the ground with Girl Up Zimbabwe. Together, we’ll identify the girls in greatest need and award scholarships in 2025. This campaign is about more than just a year—it’s about unlocking futures, creating opportunities, and empowering Zimbabwean girls through education.
