Story
In June, I will be joining The Golf Trust team and Going the Extra Mile for people with disabilities.
On Monday 16th June, we will set off from the home of The Golf Trust, The Shire London and fittingly finish at the home of golf, St Andrews.
In summary,
- 18 rounds of golf
- 6 days
- 5 countries
- 1200 miles
- 150000 steps
There will be people joining us along the route - sharing what impact golf has had on their lives and their community.
We’ve set an ambitious target to raise £80,000 to purchase three Paragolfers for use across the UK to bring the life changing benefits of golf to people with disabilities and trying to meet this ever-growing demand.
We are going the extra mile by making these vehicles publicly available and free to use. 6 years ago, there were no vehicles publicly available. By the end of 2025, it is hoped there will be 13 vehicles in operation. We would love your help to reach that goal.
It is all part of The Golf Trust's mission to get 50000 people with disabilities into golf (or back into golf) by 2028. There needs to be more Paragolfer vehicles available to create more recreational golf opportunities.

We are delighted to announce the route:

The Shire London -> The Players Club, Bristol -> Delta St Pierre Country Club, Chepstow
Day 2 - Tuesday 17th June
