Each year thousands of parents suffer the devastating death of a son or a daughter. Please help us to to offer support, understanding and friendship to parents in their time of greatest need.
The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is the only UK national charity offering peer-to-peer support by bereaved parents to parents and their families who have suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause.
We support bereaved families through our national helpline staffed by trained volunteer bereaved parents, online forums, 80 local support groups, one-one-to one befriending, weekend retreats and gatherings, a library service and other social activities run by bereaved parents for bereaved parents. We also offer support to bereaved siblings.
This wonderful fundraising concert by the European Doctors Orchestra will be on Sunday 21st October, at 3 pm and is in aid of The Compassionate Friends.

What parents have said about The Compassionate Friends:
I lost my son very suddenly, and my world was shattered. I did not know what to do or who to turn to. I was dizzy and sick and neither slept nor ate. I am still in pain but I have had reassurance from people who understand, and this has helped me in my many darkest moments and continues to, thank you each and every one at The Compassionate Friends
It'is only bereaved parents that understand how life-changing losing a child can be. I know without the support of The Compassionate Friends my grief journey would be much harder.
If it wasn't for the wonderful people I've met through The Compassionate Friends I'd still be floundering in my own despair thinking I'm going crazy. I'll be forever grateful for that.
Thank you so much for providing so many resources. I was starting to worry I wasn't going to find the right organization to get help and you've given me a glimmer of hope. I can't thank you enough.
Just talking to a bereaved parent who is so compassionate and understanding and able to give to others at a time like this also gives me hope
