Edward's Running in the Milton Keynes Marathon!

Edward is taking on a new running challenge to reconnect with a sport he loves, while supporting The Matthew Project, a Norwich charity helping people affected by addiction.

Empowering young people and adults to overcome drugs, alcohol, and mental health issues so they can live their lives more fully. In addition, we offer specialist services for both family members impacted by others’ substance misuse and for veterans.

Story

I have a strong background in endurance running, having previously completed two ultramarathons and a marathon. Running has always been an important part of my life, and I’m now looking to re-engage with it in a meaningful and purposeful way.

I would like to run in support of The Matthew Project, as it is a cause that genuinely resonates with me. The charity does vital work supporting individuals, particularly men, affected by drug and alcohol addiction. Being a local organisation based in Norwich makes it even more meaningful to contribute and give something back to the community.

Taking part in this challenge allows me to combine a personal goal of returning to running with the opportunity to support an important and impactful cause.
