Edwinstree School Association would LOVE fellow parents, former students and local businesses to support our fundraising to build an Outdoor Classroom, in which the children can learn outdoors and be inspired by nature. This classroom would link the Growing Garden and Wildlife Area, allowing the children to learn in a calming and enjoyable space, throughout the seasons, regardless of what the weather decides to do!

Teaching the children outside in the fresh air has both physical and mental health benefits for students and teachers. The structure, similar to the picture, would be large enough to accommodate a whole class, but also host smaller learning groups. In the evenings, weekends and school holidays, the space could also be used by local sports clubs and community groups.

Your donation, no matter the size, is hugely appreciated, and whilst our initial target is to build the classroom, we would also love to provide guttering, a water butt, electricity connections for technology, additional wind-break curtains, secure storage for class supplies and landscaping to encourage the wildlife.
