Story
When Damian visited the hospital last year, he witnessed first-hand what makes Shaare Zedek so extraordinary - patients and staff from every part of Israeli society, Jewish and Arab, religious and secular, all caring for one another and healing together.
Each year, more than 22,000 babies are born at Shaare Zedek, making it one of the busiest maternity departments in the Western world. Every birth is carefully monitored to ensure the health and safety of both the mother and baby. These monitors are not just for Jewish or Arab families; they serve Jerusalem's future, in all it's beauty and diversity.
