Durham Hospitals Radio is based at The University Hospital of North Durham and is operated by a team of dedicated unpaid volunteers.

Our mission is to provide a bedside friend to the patients and their families at a time when they need it most.

Regular ward visits are made to take music requests and have a friendly chat with the patients and staff.

We rely upon donations and grant support to maintain the station's systems in order to provide this essential service.

We were delighted to be recently awarded a number of national radio awards at the annual Hospital Broadcasting Association ceremony held in Hinckley.
