Story

On Saturday 4th November at 6.30 PM, Rotary Elgin will stage their annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display in the Cooper Park, Elgin. Weather permitting, the Bonfire will be lit at 6.30PM, and the Firework Display scheduled to start at 7.00PM. As usual, catering will be available in the Park.

This is one of our biggest events every year and planning is well underway to stage this spectacle for the community.

Year on year the costs associated with staging this event have increased and this year the expected expenditure is over £12,000.

Rotary Elgin rely almost exclusively on people donating money into our blue Rotary buckets as they enter and also leave the Cooper Park on the evening.

Without generous donations we simply can't afford to stage this event year on year.

Rotary Elgin would like to thank Fireworx Scotland, Moray Council, Common Good Fund, Rotaract Moray, Police Scotland, Friends of Rotary and last but not least Out of the Darkness Theatre Group for making the Guy for their continued support.

Please, if you are able, we would encourage you to give freely so that Rotary Elgin can continue to stage this wonderful display in the future.

Many thanks for all your support.
