Story
This is Eli – our bright, charismatic and inquisitive 4-year old who has an insatiable love of dinosaurs, food and everything aquatic (especially narwhals).
At the age of 2, Eli was diagnosed with diplegic cerebral palsy (CP) – a lifelong condition that predominantly affects his movement, balance and posture.
There is no cure for CP and treatment largely revolves around courses of physiotherapy with the aim of building strength, balance and maintaining his range of movement for as long as possible. It’s a constant uphill battle, one we know we can’t win, but also one we know we can’t afford to lose.
We are fundraising for Just4Children to provide intensive physiotherapy and access to specialised equipment for Eli. Intensive therapies, like those run by specialist centres like NAPA and Smile to help him to develop many of the physical skills that we often take for granted yet are an essential part of everyday life such as standing, walking, bending down and climbing stairs. The more therapy he has, especially in his formative years, the more we can help him to be as independent as possible, reach his full potential and enjoy life alongside his peers.
We thank you for any support you can offer this incredible little boy.
