The Turn2us story began in 1897, when Elizabeth Finn set out to help people struggling to make ends meet. Today, the need for their services continues, with 14.5 million people in the UK still living in poverty: despite being one of the wealthiest economies in the world

Turn2us offers practical help and support to people struggling financially. The charity remains committed to tackling the injustice of this financial insecurity and inequality, and this simply would not be possible without Elizabeth Finn Homes, as all operating profit from the Homes is invested into the charity’s work.
In 2023/24 Turn2us supported:
- £3.3 million in grants supporting 2,277 people across the UK
- 2.5 million calculations on the Turn2us Benefits Calculator
- 950,000 searches on the Turn2us Grants Search
- 80,500 enquiries to the Turn2us Helpline
